Bio for JERRY BEHRENS

   Jerry started as a Director, Producer, and Editor for Capitol Records back in the mid 1980’s. While there he received two CABLE ACE AWARDS

 for (Phil Collins “Sold Out” – HBO, and Gloria Estefan “Homecoming” – SHOWTIME) for Best Editing.

   He also won a GRAMMY for his Audio Editing and Mixing work on the Long Form Video “Please Hammer Don’t Hurt Em”. Twice he was nominated for the MTV Music Video Awards for Best Editor. 

   Jerry went to UCLA Film School and later also lectured there on Editing Esthetics.

   Feature Film credits include “Double Dragon” starring Alyssa Milano,

“A Fare To Remember” starring Malcom Jamall-Warner,

and “8 Seconds” starring Luke Perry and directed by John Avildson.

   Primetime Network shows he has edited include “Grace Under Fire”(CBS)

Mad About You (NBC), Dharma and Greg - opening credits(ABC),

Joan Lunden Behind Closed Doors (ABC), and Guinness World Records Primetime (FOX).

    He has Directed and TD’d several live switch Specials and Pay Per View Events including 

Michael Jackson Live in Bucharest for HBO,

Phil Collins "Sold Out"HBO Special,

and the Billboard Awards for FOX Network which he did for seven years.

   He also has TD'd  live switch events for Disney Channel including...

 "The Cheetah Girls Special", "Hannah Montanna Live" , and Disney Radio 10th anniversary special.

    Jerry has also Directed several live Concert Events including Genesis,

Cheap Trick, Keiko Mattsui, Phil Collins, and REO Speedwagon.

      He has edited reality shows including season one of “The Ultimate Fighter“for Spike TV.

    Jerry has edited several specials for Animal Planet including The Eukanuba National Championships, Crufts Dog Show, and The Dog Agility Championships.

   He has also Produced (and co-edited) the feature length Documentary EDGEPLAY “The Story of the Runaways” which was the highest rated Rock Documentary ever on Showtime.

Jerry currently just finished his 9th season as online Editor for the Emmy Award Winning CBS daytime talk show “The Doctors”.
